This event, hosted on May 30th, 2024, celebrated the Italian national holiday observed annually on June 2nd to commemorate the referendum of 1946 when Italians voted to abolish the monarchy in favor of the republic.

This event featured speeches by the Italian General Consulate and other distinguished dignitaries. A ceremonial flag-raising accompanied the singing of both the Italian National Anthem and the US National Anthem, fostering a sense of national pride and unity between countries and cultures. Attendees were also treated to live opera music, showcasing Italy’s rich culture and artistic traditions. A reception featured a selection of exquisite Italian cuisine and wines which provided guests with an authentic taste of Italy’s culinary heritage.
